how much have u guys spent on your collections? how much is roughly needed to make a decent size force, a couple companies for at home games, or a battalion? i dont know whether to get into the board game or not because I am basing off the cost of my friend's warhammer 40k armies. so just wondering how much u guys would say you have spent so far.

Oh gods i've spent upwards of $600 usd on about a battalion's worth of 'mechs and armor with a few stands of VTOL's or infantry as support. Was contemplating adding an artillery section until co-vid struck and had to cut back in the short term. Managed to find a few "field guns" I have converted from some other game models into towed field guns for the infantry for now instead. Blessed blake yard sales are like lost castle brians some days.
Most of them are for a mercenary troop of my creation yet I have two lances that are in house colors, namely kuritan and steiner.

I have only two lances, one of Wolf Dragoons (about $99 including shipping), and another of Federated Suns, with two Condors in support ($114) all from IWM. I also have two mechs I picked off ebay awhile ago but haven't painted. A BJ-1 Blackjack which I think was 22$ and a Fireball which was a steal at 8$ as I was actually able to pick it up in person.

I have a reinforced company but none of them are painted as of yet besides one lone Trebuchet I picked up off of EBay, which I just finished restyling last month. So I can't account for painting or time costs in preparing my units. Going for a mottled woodland theme sort of like the SS Woodland camo. In dollar costs I have racked up 400 Euros equating to something like 350 USD. I've got two of my beloved Javelins, a Jenner, Panther for a light scout lance. Strikers are the Trebuchet, Cicada (spotter), Griffin, and two Hunter LRM tanks. The Heavy Hitters are a Zeus, Battlemater, Orion and a reseen Marauder (wish I could get an unseen). Plus three Goblins with infantry stands in support. I am using some cheap M60 models as a lance of Scorpions in the meantime, and likewise have some non-BT fill ins for artillery.  |

My Dragoons are from Epsilon Regiment so use the canon tan color:  My Federated Suns lance, led by of course a Centurion, are from the First Davion Guards and use the classic paint scheme  |
