I was doing some 3145 research recently and apparently, the Republic of the Sphere ended up gaining 3 yardships (1 Newgrange class, and 2 faslane class) I presume from the WoB.
The wiki write up says they were all placed in mothball, but could those easily be brought back into service?
It seems a resource you wouldn't want to waste given the Fortress Sphere policy and general lack of shipyards.
Just curious...

Wasn't the Newgrange basically filling in for the Titan yards around Mars while they got back up to speed from the damage of the Wobblie ass kicking?

Warships are very expensive ventures, and with the RoS having such steep losses it isn't really something I would expect them to prioritize. If they weren't mothballed I would expect them to be hiding in some hidden systems out there that don't have any colonized planets, waiting for word to assist with repairs and salvage after a battle.
However they could be used to aid in DropShip production as well, nothing says they only produce warships.

I can't find any references to any clans having captured a single YardShip during their invasion? Did the Steiner's or snakes ever field any? I suppose the Clans could have found a mothballed Star League navy one stripped of its important components along the Exodus Rd since some ships did break down and were stripped then abandoned.
