Why doesn't Megamek have the battleships and cruisers for the sea? I want my MW4 battleships I'm going to try and build one in the lab. I'll let y'all know.

To my knowledge Megamek doesn't currently support vehicles that use the Large Naval Support Vessel construction rules. So there are no Jormungand class cruisers or Luftenburg class super carriers etc in Megamek yet. This is going to limit any naval vessels we are using to a maximum of 300 tons for a medium support vessel or 555 tons for a ship constructed as a super-heavy displacement hull combat vehicle.
However super-heavy displacement hulls that are approaching the 555 ton limit won't be practical, as the engine technologies required to have an engine mass less then the size of vehicle results in engines that either take up 90% the mass of the vehicle or engines that cost hundreds of millions (or even billions) of c-bills. I personally would consider around 500 tons to be the practical limit, but even then expect something that costs over 100,000 c-bills and only has a movement rate of 1.

That said, someone brought up the idea of "ferry" boats in an earlier post. If someone wanted to take a stab at creating one and let me know if that is something feasible, if we made a community designed one, that is one item I would allow large discounts on.
Although, I am sad we can't get the cruisers and battleships as well.
However if you want to go all nautical submarines are still available!

I drafted up a design for something like the ferry boat idea a few weeks ago. I took inspiration from WWII LCTs ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Landing_craft_tank ) and the existing Zogvogal Omni Support Aircraft. The final draft design was a 220 ton naval support vehicle moving at 6/9 with 165 tons of pod space that could be configured into whatever combination of vehicle bays were required. Like the Zogvogal the craft could also be configured as an MFB or MASH Unit. Or even a mobile bridging system that could advance up a river to provide a crossing point (imagine an enlarged version of this topwar.ru/uploads/posts/2017-05/1494668309_bezymyannyy.png , using the heavy bridge layers from TacOps). I also couldn't resist the temptation to try to get a config based on the real world LCT(Rocket) bombardment ships, but the support vehicle construction rules place tight limits on how many crit spaces worth of equipment can be carried. Yes it is possible to put some guns and missiles on it, but an armed config will run out of available crit spaces with most of the 165 ton weight limit empty. Also even a 220 ton support ship is very limited in the amount of armor it can carry, think a pegasus hover tank thickness not a behemoth assault tank, so it may not be wise to give an opponent a reason to shot it. The 6/9 is for an advanced tech version, 3025 tech versions should be possible with fixed bays instead of pod space and likely dropping the speed down to 5/8 or 4/6 due to the less advanced engine. I will post the details in the design section of the forum shortly and people can give some feedback.

Yeah sadly it was a let down and I was unable to create a vessel worthy of roaming the high seas with. After 175 tons, engine weights become to immense to make it worthwhile of sticking weapons on. At 175 and movement of 2/3 you can create a nice Fire support corvette, reminiscent of modern corvettes. Arm it with Arrows, LRM's, Autocannons and load it with armor. Gave it a run in megamek. As long as it has support craft it was fun. 6-8 million c-bills depending on loadout.

I think an artillery submarine with Arrow's would be hard to spot, I guess we should inquire if there is any difference between a submerged sub or surface level sub on the strategic map?
