The "spreadsheet" file has some of this information in the "Strategic Map Legend & Rules" tab. However when a battle happens use the information that shows up in the "pending" battle scenario that will be found at the bottom of the "Briefing Room" tab of your MegaMek HQ file. Most maps will be randomly generated terrain, 1 map of 100x100 hexes, with the details provided in the battle scenario briefing. In some special cases the maps are smaller, like infantry versus infantry for example, as nobody wants to crawl across a 100 hex map one tile at a time.
Here is an EXAMPLE of the dialogue you might see for a typical bandit battle (made up units and scenario):
ALERT: ENEMY IFF SIGNAL DETECTED!!! (Bandit units present.)
Must be completed before Sunday, August 9th, 2020 (UTC-12)
Your "Advanced Strike Group" moving through grid AA222 found enemy hostiles.
Deployed Units (AA222) Total B.V. 1339 -Stealth STH-2D1 (4/5) B.V. 1339 (Turn 0)
OpFor (Bandits) Deployed Units (Known) Total B.V. 1403 (Princess Bot Controlled) -Javelin JVN-10P (4/5) B.V. 590 (Turn 1) -Shandra Advanced Scout Vehicle (Original) (4/5) B.V. 311 (Turn 0) -Ignis Infantry Support Tank (SRM) (4/5) B.V. 502 (Turn 0)
Scenario Type: Combat (Attacker) Terrain: Light Woods Map (Use Adv settings to make the map at least (33%) light and heavy woods, low elevation chances, low lake chances, no rivers, no urban structures, no roads, low rough, no planted fields, etc.) Map Size: 100 x 100 Light: Full Daylight Weather: Light Rain Wind: Light Gale Fog: None Player Start: West OpFor Start: Center
Victory Conditions: -Destroy, imobilize or force to flee ALL enemy units.
Observations: -Winner controls the battlefield after the battle and can claim salvage.
~If both sides are unable or unwilling to continue combat and OpFor units still remain active the result is a "Draw" and the Defender holds the territory, however you may both claim salvage of your respective starting equipment in its post-combat condition.

My bad, I was checking the megamek rules, completely missed that tab thinking it only applied to spreadsheet gameplay. *facepalm* Thank you!
