QUESTION SUBMITTED VIA EMAIL: Do vehicles with mobility reductions due to crits have a lower strategic map speed? Yes, the slowest moving unit is what determines speed for a group traveling together, if a unit is reduced to "1" then it is crawling along on the strategic map till repaired. That is what MFB's are most valuable for. MegaMek HQ tracks those speed changes till a unit is repaired, so I follow them as well. It is a catch-22, either some damage and slowed down till repaired at the front, or immobile and it has to get repaired plus travel back to the front line again. Finding abandoned deployment structures and MFB around the map is very good for speeding up travel time to the front. Something worth fighting over wouldn't you say? Thankfully vehicles are easy to repair motives for, not a lot of time involved, 'Mechs take more effort. However each turn is 7 days so if you have an MFB at the front it can repair one unit per day for as much as your techs can muster. Thus two MFBs can repair two units per day, 7 different times, sometimes units have enough damage they need to be worked on for two or three days straight though. You have to prioritize what you want done.
