SUBMITTED QUESTION VIA EMAIL: Do I have to wait for the delivery time before I can use and deploy units?
Yes, I know that is one of the grips players have mentioned, but it takes time for your factories to build these units, and hours to train the pilots/crews enough for them to be considered "Green" and combat worthy.
The max time it will take for delivery of any one unit is 14 days (on a roll of 2D6+2). That said DO remember that one turn equals 7 days, so at most they don't show up for 2 turns, if you don't play your cards well.
However as the others have learned, I would advise you to place all unit/parts orders on the "Monday" of each week so some could arrive by Sunday and the last day of the current turn, and hence be deploy-able and moved that same turn. Each game turn you will have to advance the calendar by 7 days (Monday to Sunday) so there is a good chance some ordered units will arrive the very same turn. This means you can complete some repairs during those 7 days in each turn as well, should they be needed.
This also includes any spare ammunition, weapons, armor, parts, etc that are purchased, these DO have a transit wait time, so plan accordingly.
