Are there any plans for a discord server and/or subreddit so we can communicate with others on the go? A subreddit might help with more visibility for new players as well  I realize it might also kill a lot of the email/excel based communication between empires and gives the opportunity for intel to leak out unintentionally though if someone posts a screenshot they shouldn't haha Thanks! |

Honestly, I don't mind folks having a discord (which I am more familiar with), but I cannot devote the 24/7 time needed to monitor it and police it by my lonesome, same with a subreddit. I am on the forums and email as much as I can to answer questions, but going to three different places might get a little taxing. Ideally empires will start to roll out with their own "sub-forums" here for some of the internal communication, and originally I had envisioned players would just PM each other or possibly used discord for dealing with the combat portion of the game.

I would think a discord would be an ideal way for sorting out player matches. A sub reddit doesn't seem to bring much more over this forum to be.
I suppose we just need a moderator!

I'd vote +1 for Discord.
I have never really used it before, but I imagine it will make it easier get to know one another as well as better facilitate diplomacy and MegaMek games.

Sounds like an excellent idea, but we should have two moderaters. The owner of the server and Xander who volunteered to do it. The million dollar question is, who is going to set it up?

So, I ve created a server with a few Audio channels for Skirmish fights. It includes a few chat channels for quick Q&A and closed admin section for organisation stuff. So just the basic stuff. I will try to set up following features for the future:
+ a news/announcement section
+ tutorial video and/or download area
+ countdown clock for the files deathline (only optional)
+ alliance area with chat/voice channels only accessable by members of that alliance
+ maybe a music bot??
Do you got any further suggestions?

Hey folks.
I am sorry to say that i will retire from the current campaign.
I would like to assaign a new owner to the discord server. Would anybody be interested in doing the job?
Alternatively, it would be possible that i stay the owner of the server and we would assign 1-2 new admins with full rights to it.
